使用 Microsoft Windows 操作系统难免会碰到蓝色死亡画面（blue screen of death），通常画面都会提供许多信息来让人除错（debug），不过许多人并不会取解读这些讯息，而且即使是同一个错误代码，也有可能是许多不同的原因所造成的。
微软提供这个窗口操作系统当机分析的线上服务，希望大家可以好好利用，不过它也有一些限制，OS 必须是 Windows 2000 or Windows XP 以上的版本，IE 要 5.0 以后的版本。

另外，在微软 OCA 的网站上有提供内存检测程序 Windows Memory Diagnostic，因为许多的当机其实是由于内存的缺陷所造成的，先自己做相关的检测排除内存问题之后，再来查找其它信息，应该有助于问题了厘清与解决。根据微软网页的说明，此一测试程序在大部分的情况下可以在 30 分钟内完成。
