worker.dsp
   This file (the project file) contains information at the project level and
   is used to build a single project or subproject. Other users can share the
   project (.dsp) file, but they should export the makefiles locally.

worker.h
   This is the main header file for the application.  It includes other
   project specific headers (including Resource.h) and declares the
   CWorkerApp application class.

worker.cpp
   This is the main application source file that contains the application
   class CWorkerApp.

worker.rc
   This is a listing of all of the Microsoft Windows resources that the
   program uses.  It includes the icons, bitmaps, and cursors that are stored
   in the RES subdirectory.  This file can be directly edited in Microsoft
    Visual C++.

worker.clw
   This file contains information used by ClassWizard to edit existing
   classes or add new classes.  ClassWizard also uses this file to store
   information needed to create and edit message maps and dialog data
   maps and to create prototype member functions.

res\worker.ico
   This is an icon file, which is used as the application's icon.  This
   icon is included by the main resource file worker.rc.

res\worker.rc2
   This file contains resources that are not edited by Microsoft
    Visual C++.  You should place all resources not editable by
    the resource editor in this file.

AppWizard creates one dialog class:

workerDlg.h, workerDlg.cpp - the dialog
   These files contain your CWorkerDlg class.  This class defines
   the behavior of your application's main dialog.  The dialog's
   template is in worker.rc, which can be edited in Microsoft
    Visual C++.

Other standard files:

StdAfx.h, StdAfx.cpp
   These files are used to build a precompiled header (PCH) file
   named worker.pch and a precompiled types file named StdAfx.obj.

Resource.h
   This is the standard header file, which defines new resource IDs.
   Microsoft Visual C++ reads and updates this file.

Other notes:

AppWizard uses "TODO:" to indicate parts of the source code you
should add to or customize.

If your application uses MFC in a shared DLL, and your application is
in a language other than the operating system's current language, you
will need to copy the corresponding localized resources MFC42XXX.DLL
from the Microsoft Visual C++ CD-ROM onto the system or system32 directory,
and rename it to be MFCLOC.DLL.  ("XXX" stands for the language abbreviation.
For example, MFC42DEU.DLL contains resources translated to German.)  If you
don't do this, some of the UI elements of your application will remain in the
language of the operating system.

But what to do if you need to remember your password?

crackPassword is a very simple program that can see the passwords
hiden behind these asterisks and remember them for you.
It uses a few Windows' API functions to reveal a text from Password
Fields.

Cryptix

This library contains a suite of cryptographic classes for Java. See the package documentation for information on the API, as well as the FAQ for frequently asked questions.

Cryptix implements the International Java Cryptographic Extension, a cleanroom version of the early-access release of JavaSoft's cryptographic environment. This allows cryptographic extensions -- providers -- to be plugged in by users.

The IJCE is a clean-room implementation based only on the early-access specification. There should be no legal problems with using it freely.

Cryptix also includes its own provider, including many popular cryptographic algorithms.

Version 3.0 is a fairly stable release which reflects the early-access JCE specification. The next major change is likely to be a move to the JCE 1.2 specification.

Why did CrackWhore become open source?
I have put the source code for CrackWhore online on May 17th, 2001 because for a while now, I haven't had any time to update the website nor write any code for it.
This way, CrackWhore will live on and other developers will come up with more features, bugfixes and improvements.


What does this mean?
You can download, read, modify, use and learn from this code. It's yours for free. That is open source.
When you distribute a new version of CrackWhore or an application that (partially) derived from its code, the application must be freely distributable and include the source code.
This means that you are not allowed to charge money for any application you write using this code in any way.
